I am thankful
for cool weather and beautiful scenery
in the place I am spending my vacation.
For having time to spend my days as I choose (cooking, taking my dog on walks, and reading).
I am thankful for being able to spend a few days in peace and quiet.

I am thankful to hear of people like the man from Connecticut featured on CBS Sunday Morning TV show today: He is in his 80s and every Wednesday he sets up a barbering station in the park where he cuts hair, shaves and "pampers" homeless individuals without any expectation of compensation.
