Kathleen, gratitude moments are so powerful...I too am blessed today.  The phone calls from the son's who used to be drinkers have stopped now their calls are wonderful things like, we're going fishing want to join us.  Grandson has a baseball game want to come watch, he's the pitcher and their doing great.  Calls like we just made a new wonderful recipe we've bagged some up for you and Dad to taste.  Calls now consist of Granddaughter made Varsity cheerleader.  Kids grades just got here they are both doing wonderful.  Let's play a hand of cards tonight if you two aren't busy.  Phone calls with good news, happy things, joy and wonderment in the gifts life lends daily.  Simple really but oh so wonderful what an amazing trade from the years of we're in ER, Jail, a car crash and the dread to pick up the phone.  Today we are all healthy, happy and alive.  Thanks for your post.

Hi Kathleen, glad to hear from you. I love your upbeat view on life, just what I needed today, feeling a bit forgetful of what I have learned so thanks for reminding me of gratitude. I am grateful for many things that I am struggling to think of today. Ok, I am grateful for the health of my 3 children, I am grateful for Alanon and all members. I am grateful for my friends, my job. I am also grateful for you being here and making me think of this.x

Gratitude reminds me to put my focus where it belongs: on my Higher Power.
