How to tell my AH I'm not ready yet

My ah sober 7 months has been a little better to deal with. With him not here in the home I'm able to function and think on my own. My emotions still are up and down but I seem to catch it fast enought to control them.. The lack of al Alon meetings I have not been attending do to child care I still go up in my room and I put al Alon on the door and close it so my children no I'm in my own meeting .. Sound odd but it works. I sit and read 3 different books then the meditation and 12 step book and then I say my serenity pray . And I try to practice what I read . It's Father's Day and he wants to come over for dinner . So I invited him and that was his gift , I just need to still keep me in front of the line and follow thru with my self getting better. Haven't started the step work yet but soon I will . I can say today is better than it was 3 weeks ago. I think the best thing was for me and my husband to part for both of us . Today is a good day . My hope for the day was to have hope

Good that you are able to come here for support...there is tons and tons of love and support at MIP and two meetings daily on the board.  For me having the experience of face to face meetings of the Family Groups many times daily I was blessed and hope you will be able to find your way thru the doors of our face to face rooms...The literature is a major tool for us...learning to go to the index of our daily readers and find the focus point I needed to have was a blessing.   Keep coming back here  RM...In support (((((hugs)))))smile

You do sound healthier and calmer. What you are doing must be working. Keep it up and stay in tune with your HP.

Ms C, you sound good, i like the idea of a meditation room or meeting room for one. Just take it one day at a time.x

Glad you've experienced a shift in perspective and a willingness to share that and your gratitude with us. Keep coming back. It works if you work it. Let it begin with us(me). Hope your weekend is pleasant.
