The material presented

to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
My favorite meeting, a Monday Night Step and Tradition meeting lost our meeting space at a local hospital due to Hurricane Sandy. We have e an alternate space but the rent is $200.00 a month and difficult to make at times.
We had approached the hospital several times looking to return but was told the space was still not available Last week we were advised that the hospital was no longer permitting any groups access to the facility.
A few of us composed a email stating our position . We pointed out that the hospital had a substance abuse center and that many of the addicts families were referred to us as part of the assistance that was offered to the family groups.
Today I received a response to that email and I am so glad the hospital has reconsidered and have reassigned a meeting room to us. .Thank you HP
The lesson "Take the action Let go of the results"
The statement, "keep to the facts Ma'am" came to mind as I read your post. When I can keep to the facts and not have my emotions all up in stuff, I can more easily not get all worked up over the results...I am glad your hospital saw the value in the program. Yay peaceful warriors
Thanks for the support Betty...Our Super Saturday group is facing a similar challenge with the person holding out being a group/Al-Anon member. For now this is in HP's "in-basket" while we consider alternatives...Good for you and right on with supporting their Substance Abuse Treatment program. Have done that also in the past and just may trying contacting the local hospitals also. ((((hugs))))
