I got the call today I have been waiting for!!!!!

The Dean of Nursing called me today to invite me to attend the full time Nursing program for the Fall semester 2013. Wow this last year of taking 10 classes in 2 semesters of general education sciences, psychology's and sociology's is over and now onto the program. Wow hard work pays off, the waiting list is about 1-2 years and I made it in 1 year exactly. I feel so excited to now have an actual start date.

I made the mistake of calling ym exAH to let him know about my surgery and see if he could take the girls for a few nights and well he was drunk and why wouldn't he be. I should know better than to be able to rely on him, but I had a momentary relapse.

I will continue to move on and move forward growing towards a healthier and better life. I will be self supporting and reaching my other goals slowly, but surely without distracting myself. I hate living in the low income housing I live in, but now I can start the timer of how long until I can afford to live elsewhere. Thanks all for your continued support!

Kudos on your hard work & getting into the program. I have walked that very same path & know exactly how hard those classes are & how important the highest of grades are too! Congrats that you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. That actual nursing program is where all the true "fun" begins ( to people like us) you will work harder than you ever have but will enjoy every moment! Huge accomplishment!! Way to go

Congrats! Welcome to Nursing! BEST decision I have ever made was to become a Registered Nurse! It sounds like it is your calling, I know it is mine. It's a good way to channel the codependency issues we have. All nurses are that breed! But, at least at work it is a good thing! If you need any tips or help let me know.

Thank you so much everyone! I do know this is the right field for me, I have been a M.A., CNA and EMT and love patient care. I did home hospice care before and have been told I have the gift. So glad I finally believe in myself to get through the schooling. Thanks again for all the support!
