My last school paper for the year was on alcoholism

I made sure to add some A.A. references and Al-anon information for family members and I obviously didn't have a hard time writing this paper. Once I got going I was so glad to be able to bring awareness to my class especially where I live, this county is a very big drinking community. So I feel I did my part for tomorrow when I present my paper and presentation. So thanks to you all who supplied me lately with much needed ESH to help me when I came to read for more ideas and material unknowingly.

Hopefully not a big deal but, while I have 3 weeks of no homework, I have a looming surgery for a hernia, I can no longer put off, so time to take4 care of me. Another surgery weighs highly on my off putting meter, but it has to be done now. Send love, prays, good thoughts and whatever you got for me please! Sending you all love and support on your journey's.

Listen for the similarities I was told when I got into the face to face rooms...My final paper in college was also on the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction and was one step closer to the profession of Behavioral Health Counselor in a rehab.   LOL...didn't get the hernia surgery so don't know what the outcome would have been.  My sponsor used it as a recovery metaphor for what happens when you hold  on to too much weight for too long a time..."let it go"....or...."get a hernia".   I wish you success on both the course and the surgery and am in support.  (((((hugs))))) smile

Congrats on your awesome progress in school!

I wrote before that I just got licensed in my field.... Ironically, when I went to the licensure board with all my credits/transcripts, they came back saying I needed 3 more grad classes. One of them was substance abuse counseling. HAH! I thought I could opt out with life experience. I still learned a lot though.

As an aside: They also said I needed to take human sexuality...um. Yeah. Lots of life experience there too LOL!

I just love hearing how someone is doing something for themselves for the better. I wish I would have gotten a education. My career is almost over and I can retire. Woo Hoo.

My niece just had hernia surgery and I thought she would be off her feet for at least a week. Surgery on Wednesday and on the race track Saturday in Las Vegas.

Wishing you well that all go's just fine and your back on for feet quickly.

((( hugs )))

Wonderful for you in both your papers topic, successfully raising awareness, opening up about the disease and completely yet another year.  Good luck on your surgery and working toward eliminating procrastination in your life.
