The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
The topic leader last night shared the March 12th reading from "Hope for Today." It was all about focusing on the positives in life and even jotting a positive word on a daily calendar. I hadn't been to a meeting in a couple of weeks and was worried that I might have a meltdown if the sharing at this meeting got too depressing for me. If fact, the sharing my the members was quite the contrary. I came of out this meeting feeling so hopeful and confident that Al-Anon F2F meetings are still important for me to attend, even though my AH is now gone and my AD is not currently communicating with me. Al-Anon is for ME. And I still am a work in progress!
Thanks GE, for that 'dose of hope'. We had some conflict in our meeting last week. Nothing can be done, as far as I can see, during the week- just hoping things turn out okay next week. One day at a time,
Regardless of what happens with the STBAX and myself in terms of even if we no longer reside in the same town .. I'm absolutely going to continue going to the F2F meetings because I am a slow learner and a fast forgetter :)
I like leaving meetings feeling that dose of positive energy, it reminds me immediately what is and what is not important.
Thanks for sharing this journey!! Hugs P :)
