trying to stay true to my program

Hi All:

I don't know; am really feeling it tonight like I am being tested or something!  I have been going to meetings, f2f and here in the chat room, have been reading daily, the literature and posts here and I thought I was moving to a more positive place....over the past month my AH has told me 5 times he wants to stop drinking.  He has a close friend who came to AA about 2 months ago and my H is being stubborn about it, just doesn'know if 'he is an AA guy'.  Although I have watched him for 25 yrs try to control this disease I say nothing; and all he is showing ME is such anger.  It really feels like he hates me tonight!.  I have been trying to show compassion, love, and yes detachment but I don't know, feel completely crazy tonight.

I'm thankful this board is here, with all of you who understand.

Praying for serenity--for me and all of us,

Yanksfan

((((Yanksfan)))) ...you might just mention to him that AA has people on hand to help him almost at any time and then drop it.   You're not his sponsor or recovering Alcoholic...you just heard it from others in the program.  Let him go and Let God have the both of you...Keep coming back...be kind and true to yourself.   ((((hugs)))) smile
