Saturday- Duck Joke.

Its Saturday here in Sunny old New Zealand. its bin warm this summer, after a wet spring. The cherries have all bin picked, but followed by apricots, nectarine and them kinds of fruit. The grapes are the last to be picked. Ah well, I know they are grown to make gutrot, but the growers here believe they do make pretty good gutrot.

anyway, there was this here duck who walked into a bar.

she walked up to the barman and said: please may I have a slice of bread?

Sorry ma'am said the barman, we don't sell bread here.

The next day the duck waddles into the bar and eyes the barman.

Sir, I have a peckish feeling. Please may i have a slice of bread?

Look, said the barman- this is a durned bar! If you look around you will see for yourself- No Bread!

The next day was Friday. The duck returned to the bar and asked for bread.

Madame, said the barman. If you come in here again, and ask for bread I will nail your beak to the bar!

The next day was Saturday and the town was filling up with people, couples and children looking to swing their legs and hang out with friends.

The duck walked into the bar and up to the barman.

Please sir, may have have some nails.

Look ma'am, this is a bar. We don't have any nails here.

Ok, then, said the duck, please may I have a slice of bread.

Thanks mate! ((((((((((((((((((((Jerry))))))))))))))))).

If she turns up on this side of the ditch I'll let you know.

Y'know the regulars here work very hard day in and day out answering and responding to posts. Phew. I read a lot of them, and respond to some. Its heart-rending, really, but in the end I have been there myself.

Raising the hand of hope is awesome, truly! smile

But there must be a time for propping the mop up in the corner, taking out the curlers, and well, taking a well- earned break. aww

Here's the only duck joke I know...

"If it looks like a duck, and waddles like a duck, and leaves duck feathers everywhere; then it's probably a duck."

You ol'timer's will know what "the duck" that is being referred to here is.
