The Step 4 inventory is not just resentments, there are two other sections...Fear and Sex Conduct. Hopefully your sponsor knows this and if not you might look for one who uses AA's Big Book, I mean it's not about alcohol anyway, it's about being human...
The directions are clear on how to write a sex conduct inventory but I needed a sponsor who could explain what selfishness meant...me? I'm Not selfish! I'm a victim and a real good person! It's the A's fault, all of it! Hey! I was standing there doing nothing and A forced me into a relationship!

There was nothing awful I saw about myself, I mean a little pain was involved sure but after what I been through I could tolerate that easily...the point is I needed a solution to these problems to stop that pain.
Sure, there's a huge disdain for the Big Book process today, especially by many in AA itself ...I get it, I understand it, but this is my LIFE, man, and I ain't taking nobody's word for anything...I'm gonna investigate it for myself.

Okay...a just for me share that has lots of ESH. Thanks for it!! I had a sponsor that use to do the best 4th step speaker meetings I've ever attended...hmmm maybe that is why HP put him in from of me. We used the Al-Anon 4th step book cause after all it was CAL (Conference Approved Literature) and very very good. Sex conduct for me was only one of the investigations because for sure that was affected by my thoughts, beliefs and behaviors and not all of it was moral. I've done 6 4th steps because the "searching" requirement of that step held me at the door to my past and continually looking toward cleaning up my life and how I live it. Al-Anon like AA is about the "walk" and the walk gets easier with ESH. Mahalo (((((hugs)))))
