Merry Xmas from Australia!

Hi All!

Now it is Boxing Day here and and I am loving it! A day to simply relax, everyone can just help themselves to left-overs if and when they are hungry.

I wasn't able to sleep in this morning, as my eldest daughter had to start work at 9am but one advantage was that I was able to pick up some things from the supermarket while it was still quiet, before the Boxing Day sales got in full swing.

My Xmas Day was great fun, spent with family, even my AH choose to enjoy the day (and didn't over-indulge). So we celebrated with lots of laughter, and thoroughly enjoying each others company. How lucky I am to have these people as my family.

Peace is on (my tiny part of) earth, thankyou God.

And I wish the same for all of you.

Thank you Feather - Merry Christmas to you.

It is over, here in UK, too - 1.44 a.m. boxing day, and I am going to lie in tomorrow/today, after I go to bed!

I too had a good day - I had some anxious moments, which I overcame, and it all went very well.

I can lie in tomorrow, as I have no money for the sales! Same old story. But, I am glad to be free of the rush and bustle!

Lots of love,

Flora

Merry Christmas from Vancouver Island, Canada!

Still Christmas day here, for just over 4 hours.

Quieter than usual Christmas here, hubby had to work, and his family doesn't get together at Christmas anymore as his parents have moved away, and they were the "glue" or "incentive" for the family get-togethers.  Times changes I guess.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas (belatedly) and Happy Boxing Day to all you!

While it is not Boxing Day here, I am off from work and intend to completely relax. I may not even get out of my pjs! So enjoy the day after wherever you are.

Live strong,
Karilynn

P.S. Will someone refresh my memory as to what Boxing Day is please?

Boxing day is the day after christmas which is also a bank holiday in the UK and Australia. Traditionally it is a bank holiday. This year in the USA it was a holiday because Christmas fell on the Sunday.

I am trying to relax a lot too.  I am looking forward to my boyfriend going to work tomorrow and being in the house on my own and getting back to some of the before the New Year cleaning I want to do. Pretty soon he will be talking about how hard it is for him to go to work tomorrow.  I did not cook the turkey yet. The area I am in had all these power cuts. We were out for hours and hours and hour the day before Christmas Eve. Christmas day we had another. I have not got the turkey out yet. I think I  will now cook it New Years day which will give me lots of time to prep and not feel overwhelm and get into resentment(s). I don't need any more after all. My frustration tolerance is not that high at the moment. I need to work on that because I will be back at work in January and that requires developing a frustration tolerance.
