Hello, yes it is me, Sarah, aka Tiger2006. I wanted to let y'all know, so y'all weren't like "OMG, did her account get hacked?" My AA sponsor told me to come back to al anon, so, I decided to take her suggestions....4 weeks after she made it. Anyway, I wanted to let you know it really is me here, and I'm so glad some of the "old timers" are here still.
For those of you that don't know/don't remember me, I'm Sarah. I joined MIP in 2004 six months after I got sober from drugs and alchol b/c my therapist told me that I needed to go to al anon, therapy and aa. At the time, I was earning my college degree (which I did in 2008, with the help/encouragement of MIP), so I went to meetings online. After college, I entered the working world, so I didn't have time to do too much. But, I stay(ed) sober, and figured I'd come back around after my sponsor "suggested" I come back.
I can tell we will become great friends . All of your posts so far have been very informative and I value those of you that have walked in this path before me. I'm fairly new to Al-anon (only 6 months) but have been dealing with alcoholism way too long. Happy you have come back "home" to this wonderful place I call my new healthy family.
