Addiction is such a horrible, awful, life stealing disease....,  the people who are effected can't see from the outside and look in. They are so wrapped up in their disease that they don't see you on the sidelines trying to help them. It's so, so heartbreaking that all these great people who were once innocent children were somehow caught in this trap of descent. This sickness truly comes from the "Evil One". 

I only hope that my HP will give me the strength and the knowledge and wisdom to help my family member. And that I will practice what I preach and be an example of healthy living and a positive attitude no matter what comes my way. 

It takes a lot, and I really admire those who have to live on a daily basis with an addicted person...just the thought of it is exhausting. To unselfishly give up there time to study, communicate and work hard at trying to help the addicted one. They don't have to, but out of Love (the final frontier) they push on, and are exhilarated at even the slightest change in the "loved one". I commend all you who are trying to make this world a better place.
