The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
I understand the need for coping skills. I do hope your hubby is attending AA, where he will develop these skill . I would like to suggest that you and other adult family members look for Alanon face to face meetings in your community and attend.
In alanon I learned to break the isolation by attending meetings, and develop communication skills where I could, act and not react and focus on myself and respond with my new tools of compassion, understanding and courage.
I urge you to try our program and keep coming back here to share the journey
((((NC)))) I second what the Hotrod offered cause it worked(s) for me. He gets to do his recovery and you get to do yours. That way however it comes out you know who is responsible.
I learned best from many many face to face Al-anon meetings, reading here at MIP, from my wise old sponsor and Al-anon literature. Working ym program has changed a lot and when I am diligent I can feel the serenity oozing out. Sending you love and support on your journey!
