where do I begin--at the beginning?

The beginning is always the best place to start. I am very grateful today as I am feeling pretty OK today. I am content w/where I am. Had a fairly good weekend sharing 25 years of sobriety for a good friend of ours. It was very special to me as well as the others at the meeting.

But, down to the reason I am on here:

I am going to share my recent gratitude list:

1) HP(God) who loves me.

2) home that is paid for.

3) friends who support me.

4) husband who is there for me.

5) sobriety in my relationship.

6) The Program of Alanon.

7) serenity some days.

8) hope for the future.

9) sanity most days.

10) more inner peace.

11) ability to love myself.

12) MIP

Now there are 12 on my list. I stopped at 12 because I wanted to point out 12 steps. I have a growing list daily. There are far more reasons for me to be grateful. I hope that you all can relate to some of them. I am still a work in progress. I plan on growing as I grow up.

Thanks for letting me share.

Kathleen

What a great list you have! Tell you what I'd like to make a list too because it's something I need to do more often:

1. Blessed with the worlds greatest 3 sons

2. Clarity it my relationships as I grow and learn to be more of me and less pretending

3. More recently I've been leaning more on letting things go, a big step in my life

4. A giant group of friends and family who I adore and who are there for me

5. The ability to not take life so seriously

6. Watching my son's great Aunt grow more from helping my son than she ever has in her 67 years

7. A good job that pays the bills and keeps us well supported

8. My kids sleeping at my house every night now

9. A recent remission of whatever illness I've developed - the break is welcoming

10. I love fall - I'm loving the weather right now

11. My youngest son doing well in school for the first time in his life - dyslexia can be a living hell for kids and he's happy at school for once!

12. Just lately an overwhelming joy even when things are tough, I want to find more of that in my life it's a great thing
