Soldier in trouble

I know I am an alcoholic, and today i found out my wife is leaving me. Most of the problems in our marriage stem from my alcohol use, and her father is an alcoholic also. I dont know what to do, all i want right now is to drink myself into oblivion. i have lost everything and i have been lying to her and myself for so long. I dont know what else to do please help. I have officially hit rock bottom.

I am glad you came here and posted.
Please check out the AA board on this same site. And you can look in the phone book under AA and find a meeting. And go. There is so much help and love waiting for you there.
And please feel free to post on here, as well.
We care.

Hopefully you can ge to some A.A. face to face meetings. And the A.A. board can relate to you, I am sure. Sending you love and support on your journey!

I am so glad you landed here! What you need and what will help you soooo much is getting in your phone book and looking up the number for AA. Usually there will be someone to call you back asap!

Good for you for reaching out. What you are going through is terribly painful. I can promise you, if you get involved with AA you will feel better.

Others will know where you are and relate and you will meet many friends. We who are in the group who deal with people with addiction, ourselves or ones we love, care very much. There is a closeness we all share no matter a stranger or where we are in the world.

You can get better, you have to really want it. Go to the AA board as suggested. Make that call.It will change your life.

Take care of you first. We never know what the future will bring as far as your relationship. I made my A go away. Years later he in a strong program, we got married. Just never know!

Again glad you came to us. love, debilyn

I hope you seek out AA. My husband is a soldier as well, dealing with his own alcoholism. It's been a tough decade of war, and I wish you the best in taking steps. My husband's road has been rocky, but he's found a lot of peace in AA rooms.
