Having a rant!

It's very frustrating that people surrounding me at the moment can not see the drinker that is my husband! his now trying to be more helpful around the house! I wonder who he has tried to convince that our marriage is going down the pan because I'm now doing things for me and not following him down to the pub! Or is he turning a new leaf! Doubt it he must have polished off 4 drinks today.........stinks of booze........urrrghhhh!

Hugs Rosie. We can't baby our As, no there is nothing wrong with taking care of ourselves. I am learning to do that. Trust me, sometimes when things get alittle behind. OR when you are simply just not going to "do everything." Suddenly that "guilt" falls on your shoulder. No, you can't be guilty, you aren't superman with magical powers. You are simple a human being. So allow yourself to be just that.

Hugs again!

Hon, if you choose to not go to the pub, that is your GOD given right not to do so - don't let anyone make you feel guilty.

((((HUG))))

Its okay to have a good rant Rosie...this disease with the behavior of the alcoholic being the major focus of a persons life can drive you insane.   I've been there and done that when married to my alcoholic/addict wife.  One thing I was told in the Al-Anon groups was that she was addicted to alcohol and drugs and I was addicted to her...Truth be told...they hit the nail right on the head.  I hope there are Al-Anon Family Groups in your area of London...I'm sure there must be; and when you  find where and when they meet rush off to the first one you can.  You don't have to go thru this alone...there are millions of us who know how to manage the journey and willing to pass all the experience to you.   Keep coming back.  ((((hugs)))) smile
