minding my own buisness- yup, I'm doin it one day at a time!

"If I'm over there in someone else's business... who's over here taking care of mine?"- Byron Katie

I really loved this quote.  To me it shows me how my life can become very unmanagable as soon as I am in someone else's buisness.  Alanon and the sayings such as "Stay in your own hula-hoop" have

really helped me to mind my own buisness....in fact, I just read something a lady had said in the Alanon forum magazine that said Alanon all summed up to her was to mind her own buisness.  I have to agree that that sounds about right to me.

My life has had a lot more joy in it these days since I focus on my own stuff.  I am not attracting those energy vampires nearly like I used too lol :)  I have been spending a lot more time with my sweet little dog too - just cuddeling him and showing him love....he is

the perfect little pal for me right now :)  Call me a hermit but for right now I hang out with my alanon friends, my dog, my hubby, and kids and that is about it.

I am careful to spend time with others who do not know the program because I am working on getting stronger and I need to protect myself and the journey I am on.  I have noticed that the friends I have had have been coming to me to help them and to

dump there problems on me.  It is exhausting.  I have been praying for them but I just cannot deal with everyone elses problems.  In the future though,  I really look forward to venturing out more though and interacting more

with the people who are not in the program because I know that I will have a lot to give and can be a good example to them.  But for now - I am staying real cozy with the program and minding my own buisness.  Now that I think abour it...I plan on staying cozy

in the program for a long long time and focusing on trying to mind my own buisness as much as possible.  Just taking it one day at a time....

Sounds like an amazing journey! I can't wait to begin! I am always pouring into everyone else! I think that is why I have been ranting/venting on here! I only just started to talking to two people about what has been going on. Your post inspires me!

Mahalo Willow....MYOB is always a great acronym for me too.  When I'm taking care of only myside of the street I don't have to stay out there cleaning up others messes or watching out for them.  No one asked me to and no one offers to pay me for it.  LOL  Keep coming back ((((hugs)))) smile

I've been practicing hard to say problems as statements if my name is not in them it's not my job to fix them. I'm still struggling so thank you so much for this share. The God of my understanding has a much better plan than I do and my will always screws it up!!

Hugs P :)
