Drama Momma at work, grrrrrr!

I have run into a young woman at my work who could use some Al-anon. She lives in crisis mode and plays the victim everyday. She has been such a jerk to me and I work with her a few days a week. She is not a supervisor to me or anything but tries to micro manage my work while she stops and gossips and back stabs everyone all over the store. She is queen of getting out of the hard work, which I don't mind doing. I am trying really hard to not take it personally (QTIP). Today her power trip and high school antics got under my skin and I just plain do not like her at all. She is nasty, manipulative and undermining me at work. I already talked to management regarding her twice and at this point it is worse than high school. Any ESH please???

I work with people like this, and sometimes catch myself being sucked in to their drama. However, I try to look at them and learn something about myself. It also reminds me of how I should be as a person of character, and not partake in the gossip. When it happens and I listen to the gossip and at times even chime in, I realize afterwards what about that interection could I have done differently. Should I have walked away, said something, called them out on it? It can be tough, because there are so many personalities out there.

I don't have a lot to offer, I tend to just assume we will run into all types of personalities at work and we can't control it. I have a manager in my department that I can't stand on a personal level. I'm totally professional and nice to her and, well, blow smoke up her... you get it. I deal with her as little as possible and keep the peace for my own sanity.

Keep my head down, do my work and stop worrying about what she is or is not doing.. My pretend niceness for her is my own strategy because we work in a highly volitile, high stress environment and it keeps her being nice to me...works LOL.

I just wanted to say that sometimes we meet people who trigger us and while their behavior may be unacceptable .. it may remind us of how we used to be and maybe some character defects shall we say that we're struggling to let go of.

For me that can be true however you have received great esh and knowing you have done the best you can .. that's the best you've got in any 24 hour period.

I REALLY don't like the sleazy atty .. so now I'm going to have to work through that one .. LOL!! Oi!

Hugs P :)

Sending lots of love and support!! :)
