I had this experience today with my Mom, She is a spoiled entitled brat, all her life.
I am her caretaker right now as she has dementia(karma is a bitch) I said something that upset her today, it was an off hand comment, she loves to be angry and pout for hours. Blame her whole life on everyone else because she didnt marry the love of her life and was stuck in America with us three kids.
Anyway, she slammed the door and went out on the balcony to pout, I walked the dogs and walked by the balcony and she was still there pouting, 1/2 hour had gone by. I looked up at her and I told her, you are going on 87, how you choose to spend your last moments of life is your business, but dont you think spending them being angry is a waste of time. Imagine being this age and using all that energy so negatively. This isnt her dementia, she was like that when I was growing up. She could stop talking to my Dad for weeks. Growing up I would have taken it upon myself to make sure her mood was changed to a happy one. It was my responsibility to make her happy because of her dissapointing life. I was proud of myself today, I remained calm and didnt respond. A testimony to my growth. She has always been my example of how not to be. Another reason to be grateful for my life....

It takes an enormous amount of energy to be angry or upset or blaming.
The cat sprayed my bedspread this morning. Usually I want to kill him when this happens. Today, I thought, well, he was trying to get me up, and the other kitty was in and he may have been afraid he'd get jumped if he went to the sandbox. So I just washed the bedspread and mopped up the rug and put enzymes on it.
Thanking HP for all inklings--cause I don't think they are coming from me.
Hugs all 'round,
Temple
