AH raiding medicine cabinet now?

I am a little perplexed today as I suspect my husband has actually chugged down the *children's medicine* in the house--Musinex and children's allergy meds. I know because they were expensive ~$10 each (I have the only income for the household) and I was disappointed that my daughter only took one dose and then was rebellious about ever taking it again because it tasted so nasty. Went to get them today and they are practically empty...! I should note, this is not the first time he has turned to other things instead of alcohol such as inhalants. But really? Children's meds? Would these even have any effect on him anyway?

My instinct is telling me it is not even worth confronting him (we are separated anyway) but part of my wants to. Then again...he will just lie, because that is what he does. I believe about 5% of anything he says. *sigh*

He keeps pressuring me to let him move back in the house and this is an example of why I cannot.

I did have a random thought that maybe he was taking them for a head cold (he was really sick a while back?) since he didn't touch the adult Nyquil and lives on his own so he can drink whenever he wants.

Anyway--time already for it to be out of my thoughts.

Letting go and letting God....

Hugs .. you know this is so sad .. my daughter sprained her ankle and they gave her norcor .. it's a pretty powerful drug and after I broke my ankle I got a script for it as well .. do you know I speculate AH was taking mine? I kept coming up short pills. So what I did even now that he's out of the house .. I now hide her script and/or anything that I know the kids need that is something he would take .. after all it doesn't matter who's name is on it .. it only matters that he wants it. I know sad. Her script and if she needed it she should have access to it. I have never kept cold medicine in the house so if he ever wanted nyquil or anything along that lines he had to get it himself.

I don't feel bad as whole scripts have gone missing and he doesn't blink an eye about it. Never asks before he takes anything soooo .. it's just better if he doesn't know they are there. For me removing them from the cabinet (especially if I"m the one paying for them) and putting them in a whole other area is what works for me. At least I know the meds are there when the kids need them or when I do.

Hugs P :)

lying all but 5% i think yes !! I live with that person.

I keep all "tempting" medications locked and hidden in my trunk. I learned this yrs ago. I had MAJOR surgery and he would give me a pain pill and take a few for himself. I took a pic of him past out next to me drooling while I was trying to wake him to help me up to go to toilet.

As far as liquid or kid meds...I figure he'll buy whatever he wants. But any leftover scripts from past surgeries etc... he has no clue we have them...course doesnt understand the concept of not taking them even when you dont need them....

Makes me sad at times this is what my life has come too
