Leading a Face to Face Meeting for the first time

Next week on the 30th I signed up to lead a F2F meeting... I've never done this but it's very well laid out and scripted and I conduct training meetings for work all the time so I think I'll be ok.  This is different because it's personal and there are a lot of long timers in the meeting.  It is ACA specific which is nice.  i haven't picked a topic as of yet.  It's totally up to me how I want to run it after the normal "business" is covered.  I'm thinking about trying to come up with something different - one time at a meeting the leader passed out little tools and if the person wanted they had to say how that tool applied to how they work their program or provide an example.

If anyone has any ideas I'm open.  I have plenty of time.

No suggestions but sending support! You will do a great job!!! My first time to lead a F2F meeting was because the one signed up was not able to make the meeting and I got thrown into it. aww

Oh yeah!! I just led my very first f2f meeting last week, too!! It's so rewarding. You'll do fine, everyone at meetings is so supportive!

There are no musts at a 12 step meeting .. LOL .. it's really up to you and where and what you want to talk about!!

Sometimes someone will do their fav slogan meeting and we each share which slogan is our favorite and how we use it. In our closet is a bunch of slips of paper with a short reading and we always draw 2 and that way we can pick the one that we like better and how that applies to what we are doing now.

It just is up to you and you will get so much out of doing it. Just have fun with it and you will do GREAT!!

I've only personally lead a few meetings (don't normally have meetings here where there's a specific leader often.) I think the favorite one I lead was when I decided to pull out the little handout on Detachment and let that lead the way. If ever there were an instruction manual in Al-Anon in regards to what to do around the A, the Detachment pamphlet is it.
