My UPDATE thread!!

smile

I haven't been able to get to a meeting this week at all, but I did a lot of reading and doing my best to apply what I've leraned in my every day life!

This week was VERY hard. I got that ever dreaded call at 2 am! My daughter had been in a massive wreck. she hit a cement barrier at 70 mph. I rushed to the hospital and after 4 hours of waiting, I'm told she will be just fine! Not even a scratch on her!! I held it together pretty well.

Then one of the girls at work got in a wreck as well and was without a vehicle to get to work or get her children to school. WELL, the "I can fix-it" person in me IMEDIATELY thought "Oh well I have an extra vehicle I can let her use"! I then instantly thought, "NO"! I actually said NO!! I'm so proud of myself!.

Then today I had a final visit with my boyfriend who is still in rehab. It was a very good visit! He will be coming home on Monday, and while I am very nervous and apprehensive, I am also filled with hope!

Sounds like a stressful week, and you came through beautifully.

Good on you for saying NO.

I am slowley learning it is not my responsibility to fix everybodys problems.

I still get the instant urge to jump in and fix , however do day I tend to step back a bit and think is it my job, and how it will impact me.

Take care of you

Great share!! I love to keep hope alive, and I try to remember there are no guarantees. Helps keep the what if monster at bay. Then if something goes wrong I wasn't expecting perfection, but it it goes well then I consider it a blessing. Thank you for the reminder to be hopeful but realistic.
