Aloha Family...I made a long overdue contact with an an ex-sponsor this afternoon who was still friendly and close to my major sponsor in Al-Anon. We all use to hang together and so I was in great recovery company. The news came that Don T, passed into the "other" room in Feburary and while I always liked the idea that he was alive and still breathing I mentioned that I won't miss him because I carry him with me...mind, body, spirit and emotions on a daily basis. He was literally a God send; a sponsor not a father figure. He loved me unconditionally and I believe he still does and he gave me the best of what he had which included at times warnings or alerts not to attempt to "work" his life. (I enable every body). I am deeply grateful to all of my sponsors and on top of the list is Don T..."When in doubt....Don'T". He was a very good man, an excellent child of God, a admirable human being and of course a best sponsor and oppositional defiant Al-Anon member could have. I wish you all the same that I have received especially the sponsors like Don T.
Mahalo Nui Don...Free at last, Free at last...thank God you're Free at last.
I am very happy you two were blessed to share time and love with each other.
Rare to find intimate friends who really care and relate, and honestly care enough to say hey get off your pity pot and call ya on your bolony. I like that.
I love you my brother, even though you can be quite a caution, or more becuz you are one! hugs, debilyn

Jerry.... your "Don T" sounds very much like my "Don K", who was my sponsor, who has also passed... Sorry for your loss, but also very appreciative and in agreement with your assessment that you still carry him with you.....
Hugs
Tom
