Questioning my son's PO

Today my 22yrs AS PO got a OK from the court to give him a probationary licenes. Here I thought I was doing good working my steps but I have to say this brings out my every want to "control". He was lucky on his 4th DUI and the court sent him to treatment rather than 5 years in prision but of coarse they can turn that around if he gets himself into trouble.. I am having a real problem not panicing just thinking about this!!

Remember to "live and let live". Letting others make their own decisions and experience their consequences, but don't forget to "live" yourself, try not to be consumed with worry for what others may or may not do. Try to enjoy your life. This pretty much sums up what I was reading today in How al anon works book. Im loving that book!!

My heart goes out to you. I think your feelings are totally understandable, and when I feel especially scared, I try to really lean on the program and repeat the slogans, read literature, make outreach calls, post here, whatever it takes to stop or at least slow down the avalanche of fear. One Day at a Time. Glad you are here! Big hug.
