The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
My sponsor sent me an email today and wrote to me that "the three A's are alive and well in your life." I believe she meant this as a postive thing. I'm not able to reach her today, so could someone remind me what the "three A's" are?
I'm familiar with the "three C's", but I'm scratching my head about what the three A's might be. I have two A's in my life (my AH and AD), but not three, so I don't think that's what she meant.
Awareness, Action and Acceptance .. lol .. I think .. I can't remember what order though .. lol

first comes awarness , cant change anything until we realize what were doing is causing us a problem , acceptance getting honest with self , action is when we change the behavior .
The three A's. I like them alot. I get sad sometimes when I think of the awareness. Sometimes ignorance is bliss and now that I see certain things, I am glad I see it clearly and other times I don't want to see at all... its sad for me to think others whom I love may never see it. But, let it begin with me. and then I move on to acceptance and action one day at a time.

Yes, Michelle, I agree- awareness is certainly the sad and hurtful part. But acceptance and action are ways of moving forward in positive and meaningful way. I really like this slogan now that I've been reminded of it.
