My first al-anon meeting

I did it!! Tonight I went to my first meeting. I was so scared walking in, but I want to heal so bad that I took a deep breath and walked in (YAY me!) I have never felt so welcomed, so much love and understanding from complete strangers... Today my Q told me she might go stay with her mom for a while until she figures things out, at first it hurt me, but I prayed. And ya know, I have no power over her actions(nor do I want that power anymore) so I said do what you need to do. So tonight, I did what I wanted I loved it so much, and Im going to another meeting tomorrow at noon! I'm going to make it! I'm going to be OK! I know there will hard days but I will make it. I thank my HP and I thank you all for post.

So happy and proud of you. Keep on going to those meetings and, though, there will be hard times ahead, you are right, you are now building approriate tools to help you through it.

Reading your post, I had a deep desire to jump up on my chair, start whistling and clapping and screaming.. "thats what I'm talkin' about!"  You Go!"

But I didn't.  I just smiled and thought to myself.. "now here's another Miracle In Progress,.. another who has stepped over the threshold and into the light of self love, discovery and recovery.

Welcome Home!

John
