I'm baaaacck

biggrin

Hi guys

I am back.  Back from holidays, back at work, and back from having to renew my internet account and access and then losing all my passwords hahahaha.

Cairns was great.  We went up to the Daintree rainforrest, world heritage area, and we went to Kuranda on the tablelands (more rainforest), and then took a short boat trip to the Great Barrier Reef.  Shame most of the reef looked dead to me compared to 20 years ago when I last went that way.

I had time with people that I had not seen for a long time.  It went ok.  Found I didn't really have much to talk about but it was nice to see them again.  One I had not seen for 18 years.

My husband was great for the holiday.  He didn't smoke or get drunk or anything nasty.  He was totally supportive and wonderful.  Now we are home he is back smoking of course but I have just started saying the serenity prayer over and over in my head... especially at 4am this morning when my old tapes started up in my head.

Hormones are making me very intollerant right now and will do for a short while I guess, but other than that I am doing well.

Blessings on the trip away were:

1.  We saw an endangered Cassawary in the wild with his two babies crossing the road.  Beautiful.

2.  I had a massive macaw sit on my arm and eat peanuts from my hand.

3.  I saw numerous beautiful Ulyssys butterflies (not the motorbike gang ahhahaha) flying around me in the wild

4.  The fish on the reef were beautiful.

Some bad things happened in so much as a phobia of mine (water) and I was sunburnt to the point of taking pain medication, and I fell over in a waterfall and bruised myself etc etc..... but all fixable stuff.  The weather was terrible (cyclone hanging around for a few days) but then it cleared up for NYE.

I have a firm belief that what happens on NYE sets up the tone for the rest of the year.  If that is correct, I will be surrounded by love and light for the next 12 months (and be going to bed early hahaha).

Hope you are all going well too...

Oh, boy, do I understand the intolerant thing! Here's to looking forward to a Happy and productive 2012! Oh, and peaceful, too! Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation, too. My AH is usually pretty pleasant on vacation, too, albeit sometimes a bit crabby because he's not on his time frame and has to submit to others every so often. Overall, we usually have decent vacations. He was quite supportive a few weeks ago when my dad died and I was so grateful to have him with me while attending all the services across the country, he really did help relieve some stress.

Welcome back. I never heard that saying about the new year and I hope for my sake that it is not true. My family was so tired and crabby that day. We couldn't wait to get away from eachother.

It feels good to be back in a routine. I hope you like your daily routines.
