Has anyone read this book? I think I'm going to put it on my list of must reads. I'm curious who else has read it??

I've read it -- mainly because I devour all the CAL I can get my hands on.
I recommend it for anyone who is interested in seeing how the program developed and the roots of the philosophies. Knowing "why" things are the way they are (and how they got there) gave me a much stronger commitment to the traditions of Al-Anon.
Lois's writing style is quite entertaining as well; she has a subtle humour.

n Lois's Story, she explained why, as the spouse of an alcoholic, she also required treatment.
After a while I began to wonder why I was not as happy as I ought to be, since the one thing I had been yearning for all my married life [Bill's sobriety] had come to pass. Then one Sunday, Bill asked me if I was ready to go to the meeting with him. To my own astonishment as well as his, I burst forth with "Damn your old meetings!" and threw a shoe as hard as I could. This surprising display of temper over nothing pulled me up short and made me start to analyze my own attitudes. ... My life's purpose of sobering up Bill, which had made me feel desperately needed, had vanished. ... I decided to strive for my own spiritual growth. I used the same principles as he did to learn how to change my attitudes. ... We began to learn that ... the partner of the alcoholic also needed to live by a spiritual program.
I Read the Lois Wilson Story, and i enjoyed it... I like how she view things, and how they came about, I just went to an Al-Anon Connfrence this past weekend, and accually picked up two of her recorded shares... One from 1961 and I Got to hear her & Bill Speak, and One I haven't listen to yet is from 1982 its lois... i'm excited to find time for that one as well...
I Enjoyed her story, I could see her & Bill Now Packing the Motorcycle up and hitting the road to recovery... and I"m sure Lois Remembers is just a wonderful book...as (((rrib))) Showed above, I Enjoy hearing how she her side of the story is shown, because she had just as big a part as the rest of them, but she doesn't Claim much credit to herself, mostly others... Sweet Soul so it seems...
I've got her and bills story on ipod I'm going to listen on the plane!! I've been in public listening to some wonderful speakers laughing trying to keep it to myself or at least quiet lol!!!

I have it on my list and am currently reading "Many Voices, One Journey" Alanon Family Groups book. It has a great biography of the beginning and how it grew. I am not near finished, but it helps to know so many people have been helped through Al-anon and A.A.
