I am so proud of my AH--He is celebrating his 5th AA birthday today! For those of you who don't know what that means, He has 5 years of sobriety! I don't think any of you don't know what that means though really. I am so happy that we have been through the last years of his recovery. I am grateful too. God is so good to us. We are so blessed in so many ways.
Tonight we are having a special cake to celebrate this event. This is not the first time he has had 5 years but I think this time it will stick. He is getting older, has diabetes & just basically is sick & tired of being sick & tired! I can't guarantee another day of sobriety but I can say that the HOPE is there. I just want him to enjoy every day he has left & spend it sober. I can't say enough how PROUD I am.
That's all I have to say! Thank God we have this PROGRAM!
Double hugs to you both!!! Congrats to your AH and congrats to you!!!
Hugs P :)
