Over the years I have attended many face to face meetings of both AA and Alanon and had great pleasure when the occasional reading mistake occurs.   I myself love laughter as I feel it is healing to the soul.   I have kept many notebooks over the years of the wit and wisdom I have found in the rooms of recovery.  As such, I thought I would share a bit of humor with you all this morning.  Enjoy!

 

  • We admitted we were powerless over alcohol - that our loves had become unmanageable.
  • We admitted we were powerless over alcohol - that our wives had become unmanageable.
  • We admitted we were powerless over alcohol - that our lives had become unmentionable.
  • Sought through prayer and medication...
  • Sought through pears and meditation...
  • Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong probably admitted it.
  • What?    An order?   I can't go through with it!!!
  • What an odor!   I cant go through with it.
  • We are now saints from chapter 5
  • We will comprehend the word cemetery and we will know peace.
  • The only requirement for membership is a desire to START drinking."
  • Our leaders are but twisted servants, they do not govern.
  • Our Lovers are but trusted servants, they do not govern
