The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
I would like to note that alanon meetings help family members who live or have lived witht he problem of alcoholism We learn how to break the isolation, focus on ourselves, live one day at a time, identify our feelings and develop new tools to live by.
Hope that helps

You can google alanon in that area and find your state's alanon website. What Betty wrote will work as well. Alanon is for you, to help you recover from the affects of someone drinking. Take care of you :)

Welcome to MIP. I am so glad you are here. Thanks to Hot Rod and Rrib for putting the information out there. Should you have any questions with regard to the meetings, you can call the number that was provided there. Each Alanon district has a phone number or a hot line if you will so that you can speak to an Alanon person sometimes at any hour of the night. My area has members who will take calls 24 hours.
If you have not attended a face to face meeting, perhaps you might want to check it out yourself then share what you learned in the meeting with your family. It is suggested that newcomers try six or more meetings before making a decision as to whether or not alanon is right for you.
We are here for you on MIP should you have questions or need additional support. Please keep coming back and posting. We would love to get to know you better.
