This morning on Facebook, a friend had posted a quote from Dr. Suess (love quotes from Dr. Suess). I smiled when I read it, as it made me think of MIP, and/or Al-Anon.... I hope it doesn't offend anyone, but I think it fits rather well for us, as we come from all different walks of life, with all kinds of uniqueness, but it seems to "work" and we all find that 'love in recovery', and mutual respect for one another.... So from one "weirdo" to another, I hope you are all having a great day!

here is the quote below...
"We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love." Dr. Seuss

I've got this smiley face toy thing that when you press a button in his hand he sings a song and rocks back and forth. Something in him just tickles me to the core and sometimes I walk by him and press his button and dance and giggle as I go by - my daughter thinks I'm REALLY weird (she got it for christmas years ago and I traded her something for it). It ALWAYS makes me smile and this thread makes me think - do I want anyone in my life that doesn't understand that yeah, I'm weird, was weird growing up even, I march to the tune of a different trombone - and - He who made me made me exactly this way, so weird is what HE designed me to be.
I love Dr. Seuss too - how could you not love the creator of Sam, I am, Yertle the Turtle and The Cat in the Hat?

All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another! ~ Anatole France
