I love to go to an early Saturday morning Alanon meeting at 8.30 AM. The reason why I go walking in with wet hair, fresh out of the shower is because of the years of solid recovery in that room. So many people with forty plus years of recovery are there and say the darndest things such as this past week.
"There is a fine line between genius and insanity. Some of us are simply stuck on border patrol"
That just kills me! Laughter has been the best medicine for me. It gets me out of myself and my problems lifting my spirit one layer at a time. I hope I have helped lift yours today.
Have an awesome day. To thine own self be true. :) TC
I agree Jerry. I'm the only male in our group. Those ladies raised me in the program and saved my butt on more than one occasion. I made the mistake of referring to them a oldtimers "only" once......I found out the hard way that in the future I needed to be more politically correct. I was told to refer to them as "having time in the program" not oldtimers. Leason learned. LOL.
I received a crash course on the importance of the slogan..... "How Important Is It."
