In Gratitude/Codependency and detachment

THIS MAY HELP OTHERS LIKE MYSELF:  (sent by chelle 3 in response to my post--"Debriefing Myself")

http://www.marriagebuilders.com/graphic/mbi8W110_cod.html

Yiikes, I was getting the feeling that everyone is codependent just for taking on oxygen and giving off carbon dioxide (because the carbon dioxide "enables" the green plants to keep growing).  It also sounds,(from reading the boards), like the only healthy way to co-exist in the world is to detach from every relationship.  It just was not made clear that detachment is not the goal in a normal , happy relationship.  WHO KNEW?

THANKSsmile to each of you who reached out to me in clarification. Especially to "very, very, tired" for a very brief yet clear explanation, and to chelle 3 for the really good article at the above website.  A REALLY good article!

In thanks and gratitude, Otiesmilesmilesmile

Otie, I'm so glad you found this place. As you've just mentioned, the people here are so understanding and helpful. I don't know where I'd be now without them.

And thanks for the link.

Otie, I'm glad the article was helpful. I struggled with the codependency theories too. Still do.
