Niecy, so glad you have decided to regain your serenity!

I just wanted to add that sometimes meetings have childcare too -- call your local number and see if any near you do. Online is great but it would also be great to have a support system in your town, if that's possible.

Hi Niecy,
I have just started following online about 2 weeks ago because I have 2 little ones and a husband who is rarely home. I try to attend the online meetings in the evenings even if it's while cooking or bathing the kids... I am thankful to have found this group because making meetings was not possible for me. I have found it really helpful to read and there are a few book studies going on on the message boards. If you ever just want to chat, I would love that....I'm also a mess :)

Well you already took the first step

I am happy that I have been seeing you in the chatroom. Certainly understand you have children to take care of.
I found for myself in the very beginning to listen to the shares and what others were doing to help themselves. But at the end of meetings I worked up the courage to start asking questions and I had a ton of them. And I noticed that whatever conversation may have been going on most everyone listened to and answered my questions. It took me a bit of time to keep up with all the conversations that were going on at once but once I got the hang of it it became easier.
I would encourage you to ask all the questions you need to in order to help yourself and get educated on this disease. No one is going to tell you what is the right or wrong way for you to do things. What will happen is you will hear lots of different experiences and from there you can decide what may or may not work for you. What works for one may not work for another.
The main thing right now maybe is to just share your story, i had to share my story several times until i was ready to start working on the solution.
I would suggest participation as you feel comfortable, the more you participate the closer you will get to the very people who are here to try and help you. You will find friends here that will become lifelong friends. You already have all the love and support from everyone here and in the chat room. If you just take that next leap of faith and have the courage to participate we will be there to catch you.
They all certainly caught me and I got here broken in a million pieces and about as hopless as a person can get. Today I am a very different person than when i first walked through these doors and all for the better. So if i can be helped and work towards my miracle you can do it too.
