Aloha Ohana (family) we are okay; actually just outside of the tidal wave
zone and at a higher elevation than the people who got sea damage. My
wife just let me know that one person on the other side (west) of the island
lost a house to the ocean. 

Connected family in Japan is okay...in a different provience from the damage.
Rest of the family here is outside of the zone also.  Wife doesn't work today
and probably wouldn't either because of the economic down turn wave but the
hotel she works at probably got damage.   "Lord grant us the serenity to accept
the things we cannot change..."

Soooooo  we're blessed and grateful.  Just got off the phone with an MIP member
who cared and called and the conversation brought the tire pressure of my program
up to snuff.   YAY!! 

Got sleep last night so am feeling rested.  Sun is out and things are drying out.
Breakfast is a great burrito and a cupajoe and what else?.....Oh the earthquake
we went thru last evening watching the devastation in Japan was only a 4.3.  Might
have to crawl under the house to check the piers and footing and then everything
seems solid.

So we're blessed and one indication of that for me is having MIP as family.

Thanks for the update - so grateful that you & your family are ok!!

still praying for all those affected & will be for the next few months or so ~ after experiencing a natural disaster (Hurricane Rita) ~ the months that follow can be just as challenging -

The strangest thing just now.  As I sit here reading your update with tears falling from my eyes, I realize just how important my Al-anon family is to me.....even those I have never met f2f.

I am so grateful that you, your family and extended are alright.  I am so blessed by your presence in my life and recovery.  Thank you.

Hi Jerry,
here in England we are very blessed that we do not live with the threats like these.  Again you show how the programme works.  So glad like everyone else you are safe.  At times like this my faith can be tested , I sit in my safe warm home and watch the devistation on T.v I AM POWERLESS all I can do is pray.

Sorry to check in with you so late but had heard on the day of the quake yu were alright.
Just wanted you to know a moment of silence and a prayer was said for all of you who were affected and/or in the danger zone.
