M & M's

Marriage and Money!  (the message at church yesterday)

My husband initiated going to church yesterday morning. We do go often but not often enough.

The devil has a strange way of getting at me, even in church!

Anyways.. last week our Pastor asked all of us to think about Gratfulness all week long.  That was easy for me, I'm grateful for a lot of things.

This week...... he wants us to think about reconcilliation all week long.

UGH!  As hard as it was, today when I was mad at my husband, i told him I am sorry and that I have forgiven him for all the things he has done to hurt me.

I have forgiven him.  I do forgive him.  If I didn't, I would not be with him.  I can't live and love him when I am angry at him.

I asked him to not only forgive but to "deal with and put away" what ever it is that eats at his heart and prevents him from having his best life now.

I want my best life now and I want it with him.  I pray that he opens up to someone and gets all that junk in his heart cleared up.

Sincerely, you brought up all the things I have been working hard on. Gratitude, forgiveness, faith, detachment and seeking joy. Thank you for sharing and letting me see it in action smile.gif

In the past he has gone to rehab 3 times, many AA meetings, men's meetings at church and alter calls at church.

Currently, he went to church on Sunday.  That was the first time in a few months.

The other day I saw him reading in his One Day At A Time book.

We say grace every evening before dinner, he even initiates it and leads us in prayer.

When he sees a bible scripture and wants to know more about it, he asks me to explain it to him.

He has God in his heart and alot of other junk too that the devil has put there.

He knows the tools, his pride is a little in the way right now to take full advantage of the tools.

I'll just keep praying for him.
