He leaves scars which you can't see Why is he doing this to me? Loves me Hates me Tears me down Yet no one sees the way I frown He loves his beer He loves his smoke Ain't our life a bleeping joke I try and keep the pain inside But all I wanna do is cry For 20 years I've loved this man But had no idea That this was the plan So here I sit I pray I learn I can make my life take a brand new turn With help from above And help from friends With new found hope My journey begins
I started writing this on my iPod one day after a really bad day with my AH

Great ESH story Evian...get it on the air at your local radio station as a personal PSA Public Service Announcement and pass it around to others who are or have suffered in alcoholism. That hit my spirit dead center. ((((hugs))))

Never even thought of doing something like that. Like I said under that poem, it just came to me after a really bad day. I'm still pretty new to this journey, and will actually be attending my first meeting tonight.
I loved your poem. I venture a guess that after a few weeks of attending your f2f meetings you will be able to pin another poem titled "My New Found Hope In My Recovery".
