Just wanted to wish you all a Happy Veterans Day. I know there are many people in Alanon who have served and are serving down. There are many Alanoners who are children, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives and friends of these wonderful people.
As the daughter & granddaugher & wife of a vet, I am honored by their sacrifice to our country. It does not go unnoticed nor unappreciated. I am humbled and grateful to the vets here who have served. Lets us remember that there are many vets out there who are hurting and suffering from addiction. My prayers for them and their families is that they are able to find recovery and hope.
If you see a vet today, thank them, give them a hug. Let them know how much they have meant to this country and countries all over this great planet. To the families who have loved ones serving now, thank you for your sacrifice and thank them for me. To the MIP members here who are serving now, thank you. May you all come home safe and sound to your loved ones. I will say an extra prayer for all you.
So many think of this day as a day off for the kids. Time to get ready for Thanksgiving, time for hunting and all sorts of other activities. Let us take a moment to remember and honor this day for what it truly is. I will look to the skies on this beautiful foggy morning and say: "Thanks Dad, thanks Granddad & thanks Tim for what you did. It's because of you that I am here. I miss you all very much and my love for you knows no bounds."
Enjoy the day. Much love and blessings to you and your families. Live strong.
In honor and rememberance, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty
