Don't know what is happening young people are over doseing way too much!!!!

(((((((((Family)))))))),

I have no idea what is going on in my town.  It is a small town but Dear God drugs are destroying it.

Once again tonight, two young people od'd.  I do not know how they are as far as I know they are alive by a string.

What the hell is going on????  This is becoming a weekend ritual in this town.  The girl Brittney was a very good friend of my daughters while in high school.  They still talk to this day.  My daughter tried to do an intervention on her but had no help from the  family.

The boy Sean is a nice kid honestly, but together they started doing pills.  She was even stripping for awhile and he was proud of it.

We must save our youth at all cost they after all are our future.  I thank God every day my kids are ok.  Just for today I'll take it.  It not only now take a village to raise a child but a nation.

Please send out some prayers that they are ok and get the help they so desperately need.

With Hope and Prayers,
Andrea

It is an epidemic. My son OD'd 3 times in a 5 month period. The last time he was home and I found him in his room looking like he was having mini seizures or a stroke. He had a very hard time talking. Of course called 911 and by that time he was saying he had been trying to kill himself. Told us, told the paramedics, told the police...it was all well documented. Took him to the hospital the did a brain scan to see if any brain damage had been done, luckily there was none.
I told the hosp I wanted the crisis team brought in as he had been trying to kill himself, the hosp didn't want to do that they wanted to stablize him and send him home. We refused to bring him home until he was evaluated. Took hours for the crisis team to get there, by that time my son was sobering up and went back on what he had said. So they told us they couldn't and wouldn't put him on a hold even though everyone had documented it was a suicide attempt because son wouldnt say it to them. Talk about hitting a brick wall...what does someone have to do to get some help?
Our nation is in a sad state of affairs in regards to our children. Our A's are just seen as throw away kids almost seems like it's just not worth thier time to bother with them. It sickens me.
Our only recourse to get our son help was the legal system and that is minimal at best. He has spent the last 10 months in jail/rehab and is now allowed to leave each day to look for a job. So far so good. Will it last? i've no idea. I can only pray and work my program.
Blessings to You!

I am definitely sending out prayers. I too OD'd. I have learned to live. I'm not quite sure how, but if I can do it so can others.

I hope somehow that this epidemic will stop. It is so sad. I would never wish those negative, hopeless feelings on anyone.

I hope they can find the strength to move ahead and see the big picture.

I wonder if they are od ing on cocaine? It is so so so cheap now, ez to od on as the high does not last that long so they do more.

Also maybe it is being cut with something bad. I remember learning how the word would be put out that there was bad heroin out there or bad LSD.

Maybe there is a new supplyer in your area making it easy for them. So awful.

Kids are losing hope too. Have been for awhile. They hear about all this foreclosure stuff, a lot are losing their homes, their parents losing jobs. You probably hear your kids and their friends talking about all the things that are bad.

It is even harder to get into college now too.

I remember being at parties where someone would od and someone would have to haul them off to the hospital.

I hated parties. Wish I had of been more of a nerd or something.

you need hugs, love,debilyn
