I'm so angry right now!!! I don't want to be

Gosh I am so angry but I knew the day was coming.  I just wana scream and cry. yesterday was not a good day for me  my aunt passed away after batttling cancer for the last 8 yrs my two teenage daughters were giving me problems so I think I am coming home from work today and sit down and have a nice time tonight barbqueing and makeing a fire in the fire pit roasted marshallows with my hubby the girls and their 2 friends.  Well I should have know after a week and half he would be drunk soon.  You can't do anything when he is drunk he is so annoying, follows you around and then he will be the strictest father ever.  We have to wait for him to pass out before be can do anything we planned.  I've got to calm down before the girls get home from school.  He tells me he can buy beer with the money he earns. omg he brings home 180 from unemployment I don't call that earning anything.  now his will be doing what his sister calls D&D (Drinking and Dialing) all night and there goes the cell phone bill again.  Sorry folks I'm rambling on but I am starting to feel better now. Friday is my bill paying night so think I will go for a walk or maybe run before I tackle that and the rest of the evening.  Thanks for listening.

What a set up Deb!!  Easy to use this as a reason to have a bad night and maybe
next week too.  I hope the run does you good and you can focus and meditate on
powerful stuff on that journey.   Toasted marshmellows don't taste so good when
you're not feeling well.    ((((hugs)))) smile

Vent away, I can't be much help since I'm just starting on the 12 step journey to recovery, but thinking of you anyway. Hope tomorrow is a better day for you. My dh is in the garage right now with his buddies and I assume they are drinking but you know what, I don't even want to know!

Thank you,  my hubby spends alot of time in the garage, but he drinks by himself since all his friends stopped drinking after they had families but he is still living in the past. It is just really hard to relax when you know he will come in and be a jerk, but if I'm lucky he will have way to much and go to bed.

Ramble away that is why we are here.  Addiction affects us all so very much espically the kids.

Prayers are with you....may you find a peice of serenity to hold on to...keep coming back...remember you are not alone.....

If you can Let God and Let Go and i pray tomorrow is a better day.

With Hope,
Andrea

Thank you all, I am so glad I found this site.  I don't get to come here as often as I like.  I slept in the my new guest room (not decorated yet) and had a great sleep. AH went to bed about 8:30.  Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Hi, there.

When my recovering AH was actively drinking, he would follow me around and bother me too, like your guy.  I tried to go into other areas of the house to avoid him.  I would try to sleep in another room and lock the door and he would pick the cheapie lock we have with a steak knife, lol!!!  I laugh now, or shake my head, because it was an insane existence.

Now I look back on those days and think, why didn't I just leave the house and take the kids somewhere if I needed to?? You should not delay or cancel your plans because of his drunkenness.  If he is bothering you and your daughters, take them out somewhere and do something fun -- mani/pedi anyone??  Turn your cell phone off so he can't contact you.

Know that I and many others here have been in your same position.  Could you make it to a f2f Al Anon meeting?  how about the online meetings on this site?
