Looking for a quiet low volume timer for f2f meeting...anybody have a suggestion?

I'm looking for a quet/low volume timer for our f2f meeting.  People hate being interrupted by a loud beep or loud beeps when their time is up -- I've looked at meditation timers but they're very expensive.  Does anyone have a timer they use for their meeting that is not obnoxious?

I've been to meetings where the timekeeper has a timer and a "sign" , which is a big heart on a stick. It is held up when there is 1 minute left, then waved when the time is up. Seems to work pretty good. Yes, sometimes one can just keep on talking and not "see" it, but in those cases everyone else is looking at the heart so it is eventually seen. Hope this helps.

There are several sand timers for various amounts of minutes.  It could be set on the table and visually keep time.

Aloha Sis...Our Super Saturday morning meerting uses a card with the face of a clock
on it which is raise so the speaker can see it.   Sunday mornings meeting the
secretary raises his watch up in the air when time is up.  Both meetings announce
a time limit for sharing and gives grace..."fudge time" so the speaker can end on
a good point.  Wednesday Night Turning Point just announces a limit and the speakers
generally keep to it without outside governance.  I've seen egg timers and and
hand crickets also...those finger press clickers like they use to use in school when
we took test and someone looked like they were getting support from someone
else's paper?   Not me!!     (((((hugs))))) smile

I would hate to think where a timmer would end up if one was brought into one of our meetings hmm  , we just remind people at the beginning of the meeting that there are alot of us here to day and we would appreciate them keeping it to the point so every one can share .  I like the idea of christys using a sand timmer ,they look good they dont make a noise .  perfect.

We actually tried variations on all your suggestions....thank you.  But we need to make it more impersonal and audible for various reasons...

Once upon a time a visitor came into one of our meetings with a very soft single "ding" timer...and it was perfect, but we couldn't find that same timer..
