how the arrival and presence of a child can calm rough waters and chronic
negativity.  Avery Leipua (flower lei) arrived at 3:20PM, 11 days early and
a little light at 6lbs 11ozs and angel pink.  She caused the whole family to
focus for a while and smile for no other reason than she was calming. 
Grandson/Father and Girlfriend/Mother are doing okay for the moment as
are Grand-Father and Grand-Mother.  Great-Grand Parents, yours truely
and spouse visited, smiled and crooned and then went to a meeting.  I'm
sure HP assisted (always has) and will continue to support the entire family
(again always has) along with our Al-Anon Family Groups.

What goes around comes around...with the exception of just a few points
this event has remained almost exactly the same for over 60 years.  We
do things crooked and still bubbles of beauty burst forth from time to time.
Maybe crooked isn't as apt a word as "usual" (for us).  What was different
was the meeting afterward.  Thank God!! 

Early birth, low birth weight, small stature...some marks of the disease
(FAE) and the aunt who was taking the pictures was very much the same
as was my very own father.   Genetic predisposition was a focus of mine
in college.   Back to the Serenity Prayer.

Avery Leipua will be in her Great Grand-Daddy's prayers evening end.

So happy that things turned out for all, I know what a Gift Grandkids are I have 2 and I can only pray that HP allows me to stick around long enough to be a "Great" as well...
