MILLION-SELLING "GETTING THEM SOBER" BOOK FEATURED IN FILM by NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF MENTAL HEALTH
Baltimore---- June 11, 2010
SAMHSA (national offices of U.S. substance abuse division of the National Institutes of Mental Health), will release a new film on "Alcoholism and the Media", with a cameo featuring Toby Rice Drews, author, the million-selling "Getting Them Sober, volume one" book----------- speaking about the media's "take" on what's going on in families with alcoholism.
Fifty-percent of all American families have at least one or two active alcoholics in them. 30% of all 18-to-26-year-olds are already in some stage of active alcoholism.
The film will air continually on the website of the National Institute of Mental Health -----and will be sent out in Mid-July, 2010, to over 550 satellite, cable, and government tv stations for multiple airings throughout the entire U.S. over the next 12 months, targeting over 45 million households.
National radio networks will also air the audio version.
