Although to many this weekend is the official start of summer, let us remember the true meaning behind Memorial Day.

May we pause for a moment to honor those who gave their lives in service to this country so that we are able to enjoy the family picnics, the ballgames and all that life has to offer.  May we remember that their families.   I will light a candle and say a prayer for all of you.  May they rest in peace. floating.gif

To all of my MIP family who have family and friends serving or have served from the bottom of my heart I thank you. May they come home safe and sound to you.  I will go to my father's grave and place a flag.  He was vet, my beloved Tim was a vet along with many family members.  Enjoy the weekend.  If see you a vet hug them and thank them for what they did.  Much love and blessings to you and your family. pray.gif

Amen Karilynn,

I got this email yesterday explaining the difference between Thanksgiving Day and Memoral Day:

Thanksgiving Day is the day we pause to give thanks for the things we have.

Memoral Day is the day we pause to give thanks to the people who fought and died for the things we have.

There is a differences...a big diference. How can we ever honor those enough who gave their life for our freedom and way of life.
