here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
Today I am going to an al anon conference which isn't as near to my home as I thought. I am having to compromise. In the past, in my perfectinist thinking anything less than total immersion would be a failure.
I will probably go to a few workshops and that's about it. For now that's good enough.
I had no good enough before. I had only perfection or total failure. There is an inbetween these days that I have not been to before I hope this new geography is better than the one I've been at for so many years.
Dear Maresie What a powerful share!!! I too had only "Wild Perfect Success" or "Utter Failure" in my tool box.
With the wonderful help of alanon tools I have found, the "Middle Ground". No more black and white thinking I have learned to live and move in the gray area and walk in the middle ground . The journey is full of wisdom, and hope and joy.
I do know that whatever part of the alanon conference you were able to attend will enrich your spirit. Let us know how it went!!
