Hi, returning to the forum ...again

Hi , I thought I might introduce myself again. I'm English so I have found it hard to join in with the chat room meetings. The times are terrible for me. I used to use the chat room a lot when my husband was drinking. Ranting in the middle of the night to people who understood really helped me sleep and move into the next day. All you lovely people were there for me and were sent by my Higher Power to keep me sane through bad times. This site is a big part of my Alanon journey.
Since we lost our house in 2003 we have moved 7 times, seperated and faced the divorce courts, and found eachother in sobriety. 2010 seems to be where we begin to see the promises of AA beginning to happen. We have just moved into a permanent home in a lovely area. We are working on our marriage with the help of our recovery programs. I am able to enjoy my relationships with my extended family, and my children are all doing well and seem happy.
We have so much to be grateful for and I am not scared to jinx it by telling you.....
I know Higher Power is in charge and is leading us where we are supposed to be going. Just for today we find ourselves in a good space.
Its not always easy. We both have ISM's to deal with. My husband will have been sober for 4 years in May. I attend my own home group, plus have co started a new one, which will be a year old in June.
I'm an alateen sponsor and enjoy as many conventions as I can get to.
I still struggle with my own health problems and have had to give up my nursing job, but I am keeping busy writing and finding social groups that have nothing to do with my husband.... We live together and enjoy our life together but are free to be ourselves and enjoy our own social networks. I am beginning to find it easier to keep my focus on me.

I'm not promising to be here every day, but the regular prompts in my email box are a great reminder to keep coming back here.

This is the miracle most are looking for...Awesome and it comes from working
the program which works when you work it.   Soooo glad you brought your
recovery back home and that you included your service to others speaks tons
on how it works.    Bless you (((hugs))) smile
