I want to say a thank you to my HP for the small miracles in my life and the lives of others. Yesterday was my son's high school graduation. The ceremony was at 10:00 in the morning, on a work day for my a hubby, so he was actually sober and not reeking of alcohol at the event. Thank you HP.
Also yesterday there was an accident involving a ferry here, an 7000 ton vessel that lost power and control. The captain had the insight to steer the vessel toward the shore instead of the dock. He may have taken out a few boats (which are replacable), but nobody was hurt. Would have been a very different scenario if the ship had hit the dock. Thank you HP.
And thank you HP for Al-anon, I don't know where I'd be right now without all of you terrific people!
I am sure glad all went well with your son's graduation. Congratualtions to you on the accomplishment of having a son graduating! I think moms and dads need lots of credit too for getting the kids through school these days. I am in Canada and mom and I just got back from the fireworks celebration down on the beach. :) Happy Canada Independence Day to you too. I will miss the USA one. I saw that ship on tv here on the Canadian channel. Wow! What an odd thing to happen and a miracle too that no one was hurt. I hope things are going well with you. I have you on my prayer list too. ((((((((bonnie))))) It sure does help for us to look at the small things to be grateful for as well as the large ones too. We do understand the pain in each of our lives that alcoholism brings and it sure helps to have people here that understand and help us to cope and learn to have happiness and serenity in our lives again. Hope to see you back online in the chatroom soon whenever I get back home. your friend, cdb :)
