Snow In Alabama ???

Family,

It doesn't snow in Alabama very often, but it is as I post. For those of you who are not aware, just the mention of snow in our forecast causes a stampede of grocery shoppers that wipe out every loaf of bread and every gallon of milk available while the rest of the world laughs at us. We treat 2" of snow here like others treat 3 feet of snow.

I'm at my business and I took my two Black Labs, Ellie and Daisy out a few minutes ago for their morning potty time. Daisy the one year old had never seen snow. She was eating it off the grass like it was a new white flavor of "Iams dog food". Ellie the five year old was trying to catch every flake before it hit the ground. So-----the snow not only make us crazy....it make our dogs crazy too.

How does any of this relate to Al-Anon?..........Easy........In Alabama snow and living with an alcoholic have the same thing in common.....they both make us crazy !!!!

I need to go now.......and check on bread and milk. Can't wait to make me some snow ice cream.......I got to remember to stay away from that "yellow" snow this time. LOL

Snow HUGS,
RLC

RLC...you need some help and I don't mean with the snow outside of your head.
LOL  Maybe the state should show a statewide training film once every year just
to remind the Alabamians(?) Alabamaranians(?) Alabamerites(?)  Alabimios...oh
whatever is right of all of the stuff that is part of Mother Natures act except of
course alcoholism...that one is strictly by, from, for, of human nature.

I wish you well and hope Ellie and Daisy continue to have a great snow day.
Menu:...Paper cone cup...fill with snow to about 2 inches above the top.  Pour
concentrated fruit syrups in columns next to each other.  Insert straw and spoon
and enjoy.   Instant Sno-cone.  Big part of a local persons diet here.

CU  ((((hugs)))) smile

I like snow because it changes our reality for a while.
Here's a pic taken just before the latest blizzard in the Maryland area.
(I love dogs too!)

RLC - thanks 4 sharing.....I was LOL as I can just see the stampede for the bread/milk - got the visual going on...

I too love animals, and we have Layla!  She's almost 2 years old and has seen snow.  That does not stop her from rolling, jumping, playing and throwing the snow each time it falls.  It gives me immense joy and a smile in my heart to watch her enjoy the wonders of Mother Nature!

We have more coming later today/tonight including tomorrow so ... I'll be bopping out the store this morning for - you guessed it - milk and bread!  I need a bit more than that but those staples are what I don't want to run out of around here.

Watching the news right now, and SC got 7 inches.  They canceled flights and closed a variety of events before the snow even started.  What a wacky weather year we are having!

Gr8 photo Charlie! TYFS!

RLC,
I don't miss the snow one little bit. But my golden retriever Jack (who came to Guatemala with me from Michigan) might miss it. He used to love playing in it, rolling around in it, putting his nose down in it and ¨shoveling¨ a path through the yard. But he seems to be happy here in the land of eternal spring.
Hope you got your bread and milk and enjoyed you snorw ice cream!

(((RLC))),

Admist all this craziness we have to remember to stop and smell the roses or in this case, enjoy the snow. I'm in upstate NY and I can't believe the lack of snow. My snowshoes have not seen any action this year. One of my favorite things to do is to take the new snow and drizzle NYS maple syrup over it and then freeze it. Maple candy - yum!  This is life on life's terms. Enjoy the beauty of it. Much love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,
Karilynn & Pipers Kitty smile
